Postcards from the Rearview Mirror
A one-woman musical written and performed by Sabrina Chap.
'Postcards' tells the story of two queer teens who escape the violent lives of their Florida homes to seek a greater fortune. The nine monologues are interspersed with songs of desire, hope, revenge, and heartbreak.
Conceived as a radio musical, the performance of ‘Postcards’ was developed to include abstract videos, which were conceived and developed by Chap and video artist, Anna Hovhannessian. From high art imagery to surreal landscapes, the nine videos that visually scored this solo musical were emotionally wrought and beautifully captured by Hovhannessian’s expressive eye.
